The seven chapters that make up this volume analyse the musical activity developed by women in a society strongly marked by patriarchy. Texts that, from different theoretical approaches and from different feminisms, talk about corporeality, race, class, and identity, together with others in which the contributions made by women in the musical eld are made visible. All of them are an important contribution to the still necessary normalisation of feminist musicology.
